July 28th, 2008

Tea is a rich source of polyphenols, which are antioxidants . These have interchangeable wellbeing properties to vitamin C. Healthy tea contain a huge number of main polyphenols, while the most prominent chemical is epigallocatechin gallate, called EGCG. This is the most common part of green tea.

Healthy green tea can also contain caffeine, a large stimulant, although in much smaller quantities than can be found in other teas or in coffee.
