What Is In Tea

Tea is a large provider of polyphenols, which are antioxidants . These have interchangeable beneficial properties to vitamin C. Tea contain a number of main polyphenols, while the most prominent chemical is epigallocatechin gallate, referred to as EGCG. This is the most active component of green tea.

Healthy green tea also contains caffeine, a major stimulant, although in much lesser quantities than can be found in other teas or within coffee.
